For Professional Architects and University students

Objectives:

1. To promote and support new concept, technique and innovationof steel building designs, suited with functional and emotional benefit.

2. Promote innovative designs by Thai Architects that incorporate steel framing and steel cladding.

3. Give a chance for university students to publicize their capability and works.

General Conditions:

For Professional Architects

1. Projects shall be completed

2. Applicant shall be a resident Thai Architect

3. The building/structure will be located in Asia

4. Steel roofing and cladding shall be specified in Clean COLORBOND® steel from NS BlueScope (Thailand) Limited

5. Project must never have been rewarded from NS BlueScope (Thailand) Limited

For University students

1. Applicants are currently studying in architectural faculty or related field

2. No limited in scale and age of building

3. Steel roofing and cladding shall be specified in Clean COLORBOND® steelfrom NS BlueScope (Thailand) Limited

4. Project must never have been rewarded from NS BlueScope (Thailand) Limited

Timeframe

1. Application Deadline: 15 March 2017

2. Award Announcement: 1 April 2017

3. Returning date: Within 31 May 2017

Award Criteria

1. Innovative and creative design using Clean COLORBOND®steel for roofing, and/or wall cladding related in “The Colour of Strength and Inspiration”

2. The design solution utilizes the benefits and versatility of coated steel roofing and wall cladding.

3. Consideration will be given for creative energy efficiency design solutions

Prizes

For Professional Architects

1. First Winner Prizes: Visiting STEEL Profile in Australia (1 person) or equivalent, including THB 30,000 award, honorary award and certification

2. Second Runners up Prizes: Visiting STEEL Profile in Australia (1 person) or equivalent, including THB 20,000 award, honorary award and certification

3. Third Runners up Prizes: Visiting STEEL Profile in Australia (1 person) or equivalent, including THB 10,000 award, honorary award and certification

For University students

1. First Winner Prizes: THB50,000 with Certificate of merit

2. Two of Consolation Prizes: THB5,000 with Certificate of merit

3. Certificate of merit for The final 10 finalists

Terms and Conditions

1. The final decision regarding award selection rests with the Design Competition Committee.

2. For Professional Architects

3. Plate A1 size consisting of two sheets.

1. The concept of the design present by Thailand or English language.

2. The details of the project, which identifies the type of building, the owner, place, year of the building was completed, budget, main contractor and identified Clean COLORBOND® steel of NS BlueScope especially type and color.

3. The building details and current photos of the building

   1. A4 application form and a copy of the ID card.

6. The current building photos name have to be defined by three uppercase letters of English alphabet and Arabic numerals followed by a four-digit number such as ASA1234.

7. The concept of the design present by Thailand or English language.

8. Details of the project, which identifies the type of building walls and roof details specific Clean COLORBOND® of BlueScope and color selection.

Title of the winning projects

All presentation materials of the winning projects shall be retained by NS BlueScope (Thailand) Limited and ASA for up to twelve months before being returned to the applicants. These materials and their copies may be used for academic and commercial presentations, public relations and publications, either in Thailand or overseas.
